So, if I see 'Windows is activated with a digital license', why is that NOT a free license? YES, I know the answer, but that IS what people are going to ask. That is the same exact wording it has on a new computer that has Win 10 from the factory. The confusion lies in the fact that when a Win 7 system is upgraded from the Microsoft site to Win 10, it activates and in Windows 10, it says, 'Windows is activated with a digital license'.
